Intro
My name is Ahmad Uzzam Masood.
I am a Data Engineer with a deep interest in building systems that provide high-quality, consistent information for downstream use cases, whether that is analytics, machine learning, or AI research.
I enjoy building data products, but I also care about the deeper parts of the Data Engineering Lifecycle: security, data management, DataOps, data architecture, orchestration, and software engineering.
Most recently, I worked as a Principal Data Engineer at Nayatel until June 2026.
Interests
Beyond the Data Engineering Lifecycle, I read books about technology and I am currently reading O’Reilly’s Fundamentals of Data Engineering. On Substack, I follow Data Gibberish and Data Engineering Central among others to stay current with practical data engineering ideas and industry discussions.
I enjoy participating in competitions. On weekends, I work on ideas that contribute to the data engineering landscape and help me sharpen how I design, ship, and operate systems.
