About the data
What this site shows
Roshni shows the load-shedding schedules that IESCO and K-Electric publish, and the planned shutdowns IESCO announces in press releases. These are plans, not measurements: a feeder listed as scheduled may have had power, and a feeder not listed may not have.
IESCO interruption levels
IESCO publishes a playbook: one schedule for each interruption level (2 to 12 hours a day). Its files never say which level is in force, so this site never assumes one. You choose the level.
Time
All times are Pakistan Standard Time (Asia/Karachi, UTC+5, no daylight saving). A window such as 22:35–02:05 crosses midnight; the end minute is not included.
Matching
Feeders are matched to census localities and press-release names by name only. A match's percentage is the name similarity after ignoring case, spacing and punctuation; 100% means identical names, which are accepted automatically. Other matches are decided by written rules, then by a language model choosing only among listed candidates, then by Claude; each shows its confidence, who accepted it and why. Unmatched names are shown as printed.

When a file states no date, its effective date is when the server says the file last changed. That can differ from the label on the source page: IESCO labels its schedule files Sep-2026, but the files were last changed on 2026-01-14, so the schedule may have applied since then.
